Did it bother anyone else that in the Finale when Mako and Korra saw the airbenders in trouble he wanted to leave?

I love you Mako, and I never gave you hate before but really? You wanted to LEAVE the 4 last airbenders to get their bending taken away? REALLY? That part mad me so angry. How are you gonna try and leave them the last people left of their nation, thank gosh Korra was like no we can’t leave them. Phew okay my rant is over.
